Blue Horizon by riekmaharg2
Project Log: Here
We've been following forum user riekmaharg2's Blue Horizon project for over a year, but his work on the project is so detailed and involved that we've only recently felt able to include it in Mod of the Month.
Calling Blue Horizon a mod is a bit of an understatement. Not only is every component fashioned out of metal with exquisite precision, but the design is fresh and original too. These PCI expansion slot brackets and water-cooling junction are just two of hundreds of individual parts on show in the project log.
The front fascia is no exception to the superb finishing on show - it almost seems a shame that it will be hidden behind a door. Meanwhile, early renders gave us a glimmer of what the final project will look like.
So many skills have been displayed in the building of this project that we've almost lost count of them. Milling and forging are just two of them, and we can see the results above in the side section piece, as well as a large passive heatsink.
The case is finally starting to come together here, and riekmaharg2 is doing a ninja job with the cable tidying too.
It's going to be well worth keeping an eye on riekmaharg2's project over the next few weeks, and if you fancy a fascinating read, head over to his
project log. Visit our
